PDF995, printer driver for WINDOWS that generates ADOBE ACROBAT PDF files, has some annoying pop-ups but works fine.
1ST PAGE 2000, a very versatile HTML editor.
NETSCAPE COMPOSER, a very simple WYSIWYG HTML editing program comes (or used to) with the Netscape Browser.
IRFANVIEW, graphic file veiwer and editor.
INTELLICAD, Computer aided drawing, evaluation version is free for non-commercial use.
I have also used SUN Star Office Version 5, an office suite, Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Database, WEB Browser, E-mail, Presentaions, etc. Sun is no longer offering Star Office as "free-ware" and is now selling version the newer version.
If you are a hiker or GPS user, try out USA Photo Maps. This SHAREWARE program downloads and displays USGS Topo maps and aerial photos from the Terraserver website and lets you add waypoints, routes, and tracks that it will download from (or upload to) your GPS. Not a lot of bells and whistles, but easy to use and the price is great.
I use G7ToWin to download and save my GPS information and to convert my GPS information to various formats.
